Local Newspapers Agree: Re-Elect Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 19, 2016) The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and San Bernardino Sun Newspapers "Wholeheartedly" Endorse Cheryl Brown - Having earned all local mayor endorsements, and the most Labor Union, small businesses, and local leaders' endorsements, today, Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown (D-San Bernardino) announced another major local endorsement in her re-election campaign from both local newspapers the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and the San Bernardino Sun. Both newspapers are based in the Inland Empire.

"[Assemblywoman Cheryl] Brown, D-San Bernardino, does a fine job of representing the interests of the constituents of her low-income, blue-collar district, and we wholeheartedly endorse her for re-election," stated the editorial board from both newspapers. "Brown has emphasized education funding, jobs, veterans’ services, water supply, seniors and long-term care — things that matter greatly in her district. Her emphasis on education and jobs for her low-income district is good for the environment too. After all, every mega-commuter who can learn needed skills and land a job in the district will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by shortening his or her daily drive to a faraway jobs center. Our board’s choice is to retain Cheryl Brown in the 47th Assembly District."

"Having the endorsement from our local newspapers validates my record of getting things done on local issues affecting our working families in the Inland Empire, particularly on transportation issues," said Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown. "I thank the Daily Bulletin and the San Bernardino Sun Newspapers for their endorsement in my re-election campaign. As a proud member of the Transportation Committee in the Assembly, I am committed to ensuring that our transportation infrastructure continues to meet the region's needs of commuters going to and from work by bringing more investments to our roads and freeways."
