GLORIA NEGRETE MCLEOD BACKS CHERYL BROWN FOR RE-ELECTION
Longtime Inland Empire Community Leader Says Cheryl Brown's Hard Work Is Deserving of Another Term
SAN BERNARDINO, CA - With recent major endorsements from the California Democratic Party and Attorney General Kamala Harris, today Assemblywoman Cheryl R. Brown (D-San Bernardino) received a major local endorsement from longtime community leader and the region's former Assemblywoman, State Senator, Member of Congress and current Chaffey College Governing Board Trustee, Gloria Negrete McLeod.
"My endorsement of Assemblymember Cheryl Brown for re-election comes because she has served the 47th District well,” said Gloria Negrete McLeod, Congresswoman Emeritus and current Chaffey College Governing Board Member. "Assemblymember Brown’s many years of public service, in addition to her three decades as a small business owner, has given her a unique perspective in solving issues facing the community. As a legislator, she has helped small businesses succeed thereby assisting our economic recovery. She has supported programs that our elderly and the disabled rely on, and she has fought to ensure that our veterans receive the benefits they deserve. Cheryl Brown's hard work to make the 47th district better is deserving of another term in the California Assembly."
"I appreciate the kind words of Trustee Gloria Negrete McLeod and I am extremely proud to receive her support in my re-election campaign," said Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown. "She and I share the same vision for the Inland Empire on jobs, education and public safety. I look forward to working with her to help move our community forward."
