Members of the Inland delegation to Sacramento have different ideas for what they want the governor to talk about during his speech. Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown, D-San Bernardino, wants more money for seniors who receive supplemental security income and disability benefits.
When the recession hit, money for those beneficiaries went into the state’s general fund, said Cheryl Brown, who is not related to the governor. “That’s still going on, and everyone else has recovered,” she said. “They can’t buy their food. They can’t buy their medicine.”Read more
