SAN BERNARDINO, CA (February 16, 2016) - Today, Assembly Member Cheryl R. Brown (D-San Bernardino) announced a major endorsement from California Secretary of State Alex Padilla.

"I’ve worked with Assembly Member Cheryl Brown to protect our civil rights, especially our right to vote,” said California Secretary of State Alex Padilla. "As an Assembly Member, Cheryl Brown helped pass a minimum wage increase that provides working families a much needed raise. She fought for increased funding for public schools and advocated for much needed investments in our aging transportation infrastructure. Cheryl Brown is a tenacious and effective leader. I am proud to endorse her for re-election."

California Secretary of State Alex Padilla is the state's highest ranking Latino elected official, serving a number of roles, which include acting as the state's Chief Elections Officer, managing campaign and lobbyist financial information, and maintaining business filings, among other roles.

Assembly Member Cheryl R. Brown is running for re-election in California’s 47th district. She currently represents the 47th district.
